Bheemeshwari is right in the middle of the Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary. Also called the Cauvery Fishing Camp, this place is famous for the Masheer fish which is supposedly one of the finest game fish in the world. The river Cauvery runs along Bheemeshwari is also infested with crocodiles, so donot venture out to the river banks all by yourself. This is an excellent spot to explore the forest, river and to try your hand at some game fishing.
